Heuchera americana 'Pewter Veil'PP# 8984 - 'Pewter Veil' Coral Bells is one of the most popular Heucheras in the landscape market, certainly among the "veil" Heucheras. The "veil" term applies to the silver netting on leaves. The "pewter" part of the name comes from the pewter purple color of the leaves. The plant is grown for it's foliage but the airy blooms on thin stems above the foliage are an attractive feature of the Heucheras. While frequently propagated by tissue culture it is easily divided. Division is done in the spring and fall. Easy hybridization and production from the resultant seed has resulted in many new cultivars, but 'Pewter Veil' continues to hold it's own as one of the best.
